Purpose
To encourage tamariki to engage with others, so they can build connections with those around them.

Learning about others helps to show them that they matter.
We have more in common than you might think!
Sometimes, the assumption that other people are different from us prevents us from building a relationship with them. This activity is designed to help students overcome this barrier, identifying the things they have in common with those around them. Finding similarities establishes a point of connection, and helps to facilitate friendships.
By putting in the time to get to know others, we show them that they matter to us.
Encourage students to step out of their comfort zone and make sure to talk to someone new.
